Today is World Food Day!
The children at Olchoki Primary School were leaving school early because meals were not provided for them. Their test scores were low, and morale even lower. Now that the children at Olchoki fill their bellies at lunch, they stay in school all day, laugh, and play. Take a look at the video to watch their journey.

OBA has collaborated with a professional film maker to create a video highlighting the Arusha Lutheran Medical Center School of Nursing. In Tanzania, nurses are in short supply. Including doctors, nurses, midwives, and health aides, there are only 5 providers in Tanzania for every 10,000 people. In 2015, Operation Bootstrap Africa partnered with ALMC to start a nursing school which helps to fill some of this need. The ALMC School of Nursing provides 1, 2, and 3 year training programs for students pursuing degrees or certification in the fields of midwifery, community health, and nursing. OBA provides a scholarship fund for the ALMC School of Nursing which subsidizes the cost of tuition for all students, and creates greater access to healthcare education. Nurses trained here are bringing heart and hope to their country, and paving the way for women in the workplace. Click on the video above to learn more about this incredible program.
